the Doomsday Clock, Doomsday Preppers, the Doomsday Vault, & the Invention of Time

1.) Why is it okay for Scientists to create a "Doomsday Clock" and for Governments to create a "Doomsday Vault" and a "Doomsday Ark" but it's not okay for Preppers to prepare themselves when the economy and society fall apart?  

2.) Why is it okay for Scientists to predict Armageddon? (and Governments to bring about Armageddon?) AND even Religious people to expect it? AND yet Preppers are ridiculed for it?  We have to stop the hypocrisy!  We either question all of them for believing in it and actively preparing for it OR We question ourselves why we think it's not possible for it to occur.

Preppers will be labelled as "Domestic Terrorists" and be forced to assimilate OR be terminated -with all their possessions being confiscated and seized by the State/Corporation.

"A Doomsday ark is a collection of knowledge preserved in such a way that future generations would have access to said knowledge if current means of access were lost. Scenarios where availability to information (such as the Internet) would be lost could be described as Existential Risks or Extinction Level Events. A knowledge ark takes the form of a traditional Library or a modern computer database.  It would also include images only (such as photographs of important information, or diagrams of critical processes).  It would also include genetic material. With the potential for widespread personal DNA sequencing becoming a reality, an individual might agree to store their genetic code in a digital or analog storage format which would enable later retrieval of that code. If a species was sequenced before extinction, its genome would remain available for study even in the case of extinction".

THE INVENTION OF MODERN TIME:

"In the mid-19^th century, three types of time measurements were used: natural time, local time, and de facto railroad time. Time based on the natural movement of the sun throughout the day was still in use by individuals and was especially suited to an agrarian society. Local time used synchronized astronomical time, based on time at the meridian of a specific location. It was displayed by town clocks and was useful for civil government and to anyone needing to synchronize a watch. Railroads ran on the time kept in the city where the line originated. At the General Time Convention of October 1883, new standards were unanimously approved. At noon on November 18, 1883 at the 75th meridian (Eastern Time) the railroads changed over to the new time standards to be known as "Railroad and Telegraph Time." When the transcontinental railroad tied the nation together physically, a regional problem became a national one so standardization of time was introduced and with the force of the railroads behind it, the measurement of time by these standards was eventually adopted by commerce, government, and individuals throughout the country" "Germany was the first country to implement DST (also known as "War Time"). Clocks there were first turned forward at 11:00 p.m. (23:00) on April 30, 1916.  The rationale was to minimize the use of artificial lighting in order to save fuel for the war effort during World War I. The idea was quickly followed by Britain and many other countries, including the United States. Many countries reverted back to standard time post-World War I. It wasn't until the next World War that DST made its return in many countries in order to save vital energy resources for the war. In the United States, DST caused widespread confusion from 1945 to 1966 for trains, buses and the broadcasting industry because states and localities were free to choose when and if they would observe DST. Congress decided to end the confusion and establish the Uniform Time Act of 1966 that stated DST would begin on the last Sunday of April and end on the last Sunday of October".
