Re-writing how Governments work: Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement (part 1 out of 2)

These are the "new jobs" (highlighted in maroon, down below, in the last article about more informants being created and being used in society and on citizens) which is a resuscitation of old jobs in Totalitarian governments of the past.  Along with the T.P.P. in place, governments will no longer be held accountable for what Corporations and businesses do.  Everything you say will be used against you and people will suddenly "disappear" just like they often do in Third World countries with Totalitarian dictatorships. People for one reason or another either wind up in prison, labor camps, wind up found murdered or found committed "suicide", or disappeared forever. With facial recognition, CCTV, the use of drones, and this type of public monitoring and surveillance in society -everything you say will be used against you. The distrust that the entertainment sector and the media poured into society and created since it's inception will cause people to easily inform on their neighbors, family, co-workers and friends.  The last time this type of surveillance society and individual monitoring was used in North America was during the "Red Scare" and the "McCarthyism era" as well as during the onset of World War 1 and World War 2 when they interned Japanese, Italians, and Ukrainians (yet this time, it won't be removed since this is the era of the "Quiet war" and "Long war" where no one knows the war is going on and everyone is a suspect.  This has been going on for quite some time and because there is too much technology which ensures you don't need that much "man power" for it to work).

Secretive trans-Pacific trade

"Negotiations for a trade deal began amongst Brunei, Chile, New Zealand and Singapore in 2003, with the US joining in 2008 alongside Australia, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru and Vietnam. However, the multi-national treaty negotiations, now a decade long, have been conducted in secret. Only when Wikileaks published a draft version of the negotiating document did critics understand how it would erode intellectual property protections, changes to environmental regulations, and curb freedom of speech“While the TPP is being called a trade agreement, the US already has trade agreements (with most of the) countries involved in the talks. Instead, the TPP is a major power grab by large corporations,” said Margaret Flowers, MD, former congressional fellow for Physicians for a National Health Program told the Institute for Public Accuracy. Doctors are particularly interested in the pact because it contains a threat to the availability of generic drugs. The text of the TPP includes 29 chapters, only five of which are about trade,” she added. “The remaining chapters are focused on changes that multinational corporations have not been able to pass in Congress, such as restrictions on internet privacy, increased patent protections, greater access to litigation and further financial deregulation.”  Flowers said the negotiations are shrouded in secrecy because the more people know about it, the more they will oppose the agreement. More than 600 corporate advisers were working with the US Trade Representative to draft the TPP, she said, “means that for more than four years some of the top corporate lawyers have been inserting phrases, paragraphs and whole sections so the agreement suits the needs of corporate power, while undermining the interests of people and planet.

TPP negotiators received huge bonuses from big banks

"A controversial trade deal being touted by the White House is expected to give American corporations broad new authority if approved. Now according to newly released documents, big banks gave millions to the execs that are now orchestrating the agreement.  When WikiLeaks released a draft version of a section of the TPP last year, the anti-secrecy group warned that “Particular measures proposed include supranational litigation tribunals to which sovereign national courts are expected to defer, but which have no human rights safeguards”  No wonder they kept it secret,” internet entrepreneur Kim Dotcom told RT at the time. “What a malicious piece of US corporate lobbying. TPP is about world domination for US corporations. Nothing else.”

"In other words, it is the treaty from hell. In addition to imposing Obama’s vision for the world on 40 percent of the global population, it is also being described as a “Christmas wish-list for major corporations”.  Of the 29 chapters in the treaty, only five of them actually deal with economic issues.  The rest of the treaty deals with a whole host of other issues of great importance to the global elite.
The following list of issues addressed by this treaty is from a Malaysian news source
• domestic court decisions and international legal standards (e.g., overriding domestic laws on both trade and nontrade matters, foreign investors’ right to sue governments in international tribunals that would overrule the national sovereignty)
• environmental regulations (e.g., nuclear energy, pollution, sustainability)
• financial deregulation (e.g., more power and privileges to the bankers and financiers)
• food safety (e.g., lowering food self-sufficiency, prohibition of mandatory labeling of genetically modified products, or bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE) or mad cow disease)
• Government procurement (e.g., no more buy locally produced/grown)
• Internet freedom (e.g., monitoring and policing user activity)
• labour (e.g., welfare regulation, workplace safety, relocating domestic jobs abroad)
• patent protection, copyrights (e.g., decrease access to affordable medicine)
• public access to essential services may be restricted due to investment rules (e.g., water, electricity, and gas)
And if this treaty is ultimately approved by Congress, we will essentially be stuck with it forever.
This treaty is written in such a way that the United States will be permanently bound by all of the provisions and will never be able to alter them unless all of the other countries agree.
This treaty is the key to Obama’s “legacy”.  He wants to impose his will upon 40 percent of the global population in a way that will never be able to be overturned. Of course Obama is touting this treaty as the path to economic recovery.  He promises that it will greatly increase global trade, decrease tariffs and create more jobs for American workers. But instead, it would be a major step toward destroying what is left of the U.S. economy. Over the past several decades, every time a major trade agreement has been signed we have seen even more good jobs leave the United States. And it doesn’t take a genius to figure out why this is happening.  If corporations can move jobs to the other side of the planet to nations where it is legal to pay slave labor wages, they will make larger profits"

THE BAIT:  This is how they are going to sell it to the masses:

THE SWITCH

This is what is really going to happen to the masses.  "This is truly the American way of censorship. Figure out how those with the deepest pockets can smother the free speech of those with little or no voice on the one medium in which information flow is still treated equally. The nightmare scenario here would be that status quo companies use their funds to price out everyone else. It would kill innovation on the web before it starts. It’s just another example of the status quo attempting to build a moat around itself that we have already seen in so many other areas of the economy. The internet really is the last bastion of freedom and dynamism in the U.S. economy and this proposal could put that at serious risk. Oh, and to make matters worse, the current FCC is filled to the brim with revolving door industry lobbyists".

More Federal Agencies Are Using Undercover Operations

"The federal government has significantly expanded undercover operations in recent years, with officers from at least 40 agencies posing as business people, welfare recipients, political protesters and even doctors or ministers to ferret out wrongdoing, records and interviews show. At the Supreme Court, small teams of undercover officers dress as students at large demonstrations outside the courthouse and join the protests to look for suspicious activity, according to officials familiar with the practice. At the Internal Revenue Service, dozens of undercover agents chase suspected tax evaders worldwide, by posing as tax preparers, accountants drug dealers or yacht buyers and more, court records show. At the Agriculture Department, more than 100 undercover agents pose as food stamp recipients at thousands of neighborhood stores to spot suspicious vendors and fraud, officials said.  But many operations are not linked to terrorism. Instead, they reflect a more aggressive approach to growing criminal activities like identity theft, online solicitation and human trafficking, or a push from Congress to crack down on more traditional crimes. At convenience stores, for example, undercover agents, sometimes using actual minors as decoys, look for illegal alcohol and cigarette sales, records show. At the Education Department, undercover agents of the Office of Inspector General infiltrate federally funded education programs looking for financial fraud. Medicare investigators sometimes pose as patients to gather evidence against health care providers. Officers at the Small Business Administration, NASA and the Smithsonian do undercover work as well, records show.  The Times analysis showed that the military and its investigative agencies have almost as many undercover agents working inside the United States as does the F.B.I. While most of them are involved in internal policing of service members and defense contractors, a growing number are focused, in part, on the general public as part of joint federal task forces that combine military, intelligence and law enforcement specialists.  At the Supreme Court, all of the court’s more than 150 police officers are trained in undercover tactics, according to a federal law enforcement official speaking on condition of anonymity because it involved internal security measures. At large protests over issues like abortion, small teams of undercover officers mill about — usually behind the crowd — to look for potential disturbances. The agents, often youthful looking, will typically “dress down” and wear backpacks to blend inconspicuously into the crowd, the official said.  At one recent protest, an undercover agent — rather than a uniformed officer — went into the center of a crowd of protesters to check out a report of a suspicious bag before determining there was no threat, the official said. The use of undercover officers is seen as a more effective way of monitoring large crowds. A Supreme Court spokesman, citing a policy of not discussing security practices, declined to talk about the use of undercover officers. Mr. German, the former F.B.I. undercover agent, said he was troubled to learn that the Supreme Court routinely used undercover officers to pose as demonstrators and monitor large protests.
